Today we are moving from the industry economy to the knowledge economy. The web 2.0 tool will help to empower people and will help to reduce the digital divide, thus promoting the transition towards the building of the knowledge society.
During this training workshop, I have learned and understood the key concepts and the rationale the two hands of Web 2.0 for development. The web 2.0 refers to the second generation of web development and design to facilitate communication, information sharing and user-centered design. It targets the non-IT people. Web 2.0 tools: My appreciation
The Web 2.0 tools will help me to become a strong agent of change in my organisation, my country and the whole world. The myriads of tools will allow me to build, share, contribute and manage information in a moreeffective and efficient way. These tools will enable me to collaborate more effectively with different partners and stakeholders, for eg, through blog, I will be able to disseminate information to the world and will also be able to enrich the content by inviting other authors to contribute on my blog. I will also be able to evaluate the content by the comments posted by the viewers. Through RSS and filters, I will be able to keep track of updates on different sectors.Such practice will enable me to become more knowledgeable, up-to-date and cost-effective since I will save time and bandwidth!
After this training session, I will ensure that I will initiate and train my other colleagues so that the web 2.0 tools could be put to use more effectively and will achieve its purpose.
